Driving Experience: Winter Rally Experience Finland
This Driving Experience is all about Rally Driving, the Finnish way, in remote Finnish countryside, off the beaten track.
Whether you are a beginner or have piloting experience: learn to drive on ice and snow on a closed road circuit.
Focus on driving, learning and improving your car control skills through individual instruction by professional Finnish instructors in an easy, welcoming and down to earth environment.
No frills, this Rally Experience is designed to maximize driving while experiencing Finland off the beaten track.
Experience pure driving in the calm, quietly unwinding and beautiful nature of Northern Karelia.
Sharing the experience with like-minded people in a grounded, calm and welcoming setting.

The experience
Day 1: Arrival
Tervetuloa Suomeen!
Transfer from Joensuu Airport (Flight AY345 from Helsinki, 17:05-18:10) or from Joensuu train station, arranged in combination, to the cottage. Transfer time is about 1 hour.
Settling in, we have dinner at our cottage.
Day 2:
After breakfast at the cottage, we drive to the rally circuit.
Following a theory lesson in rally driving dynamics, you get equipped with all the necessary safety gear. You start your Winter Rally driving instruction on a smaller stage to learn and/or improve your skills.
Following lunch, rally instruction continues, depending on progress, already on the larger rally stage (length approx.5,8km).
After debriefing the day, we return to our cottage to relax and have dinner.
Weather permitting, we will have a stargazing session (with telescope if possible) with some northern lights if we are lucky.
Day 3:
Following breakfast, we transfer to the rally circuit. After briefing for the day, we continue the rally instruction.
After lunch, we continue our driving in the afternoon on the rally stage.
The debriefing concludes our Rally instruction.
We transfer back to our cottage with our team of instructors for a real Finnish Sauna experience, including a frozen lake hole swim. We have dinner together at the cottage where you receive your official Winter Rally driving certificates.
Day 4: Departure
After breakfast at the cottage, it is time to say Goodbye.
Combined transfer, with respect to travel times, to Joensuu train station and/or airport in the morning.

- 3 nights in shared Cottage (2 single beds per room)
- Breakfast in Cottage on Day 2, 3, 4

- Transfers on Arrival and Departure day to Joensuu Airport and Joensuu Train station in combination

- Professional Finnish Rally Instructors. Language of instruction is English
- Finnish Sauna experience with Ice lake dip
- Individual Coaching from me at the track, as necessary

- Alcoholic drinks (Zero alcohol policy during the Driving Days)

Good to know
Accommodation:
Shared accommodation in a remote cottage with all modern amenities. In true retreat style, there is bad phone reception.
The cottage has 3 double bedrooms with 2 individual beds each, so 2 people share a room.
The cottage has 2 bathroom/shower rooms and 2 saunas.
Breakfast and Dinner are taken together at the cottage. Lunch is taken at a local restaurant in the nearby village or at the rally circuit.
Cars:
BMW 325i e36 with ≈ 210 BHP in Rally spec with studded tyres

Group size:
between min. 5 to max. 6 people, with 2-3 people sharing a car and instructor.

Offered Coaching:
Adaptation of the Coaching part of Program: Piloting Intensity for this experience in an online group setting with the participants of the experience.
3x60Min, online, with the group you share the Winter Rally Experience
The Individual Oxygen Advantage® Breathing program for this experience is an introduction to training functional breathing to improve recuperation and stress management.
